Conference track meet a success

At Saturday’s Northeastern Conference Championship Meet, hosted by Danvers High School, Marblehead’s boys and girls teams finished in second place. The girls (118 points) trailed only Masconomet (160), while the boys (82) looked up to Peabody (166).

First-place finishes

Marrietta O’Connell (2-mile, 11:59.64; mile, 5:18.23)
Kate Twomey, O’Connell, Maren Potter, Maggie Miller (4x800m, 10:28.27)
Paige Treadwell (100m hurdles, 16.16; high jump, 5-0)
Isaac Gross (2-mile, 9:26.20)
Alex Hersey (100m hurdles, 14.93)
Thomas Carlson (100m, 11.11)
Will Cerrutti (mile, 4:26.18)
