The Marblehead Democratic Town Committee will hold its annual picnic on Monday, Aug. 21.
The Gerry No. 5 Veteran Fireman’s Association at 210 Beacon St. is the site for the three-hour event starting at 5 p.m.
Residents will get the opportunity to meet and talk with elected officials on both local and state levels. Some expected attendees include state Sen. Brendan Crighton, state Rep. Jenny Armini, and state Auditor Diana Dizoglio.
Tickets are currently available online at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/2023-PICNIC, with the costs being $35 for adults and $15 for students.
Potential ticket buyers are also given the option to donate amounts of $150, $200, or $500 to the MDTC. Donations of any level include two tickets.
The event is in support of the Edwin L. and Selma L. Goldberg scholarship, which is given yearly to the Marblehead High School graduating class to encourage civic engagement and government interest.
