All Town of Marblehead grass athletic fields reopened effective April 9, town officials announced Wednesday.
Fields are open after evaluation based on criteria set forth in the town’s Field Usage Policy. Officials assessed playability considering athlete safety, turf density, recent rainfall, and immediate weather forecasts.
Residents and local sports teams are reminded that fields should have no standing water, no audible water sound when walked on, and no visible footprints or significant mud.
