How to celebrate Father’s Day in Marblehead

June 12, 2024 by Sophia Harris

This Father’s Day, there are many opportunities to stay local and enjoy all that the holiday has to offer in town.

There is plenty to do and to buy, and many local businesses to support, in Marblehead for Father’s Day.

The perfect Father’s Day gifts feature family, fun, and food, and Marblehead-based KB White Co’s lobster kits include all three. Ready-to-fish lobster traps include a 30-inch trap, 60 feet of rope, buoy with a pick-up stick, a break-away swivel and a bait bag for $119 with free local delivery. The supply is limited and the kits can be ordered at (781) 631-4700.

Dads who enjoy reading about unsolved murders will enjoy “Murder in Marblehead: Who Killed Beryl Atherton” by Harry Christensen and Richard Santeusanio. Consider buying it for your dad for Father’s Day. Available at Shubie’s, Marblehead Mercantile, Arnould Gallery, and Marblehead Gardens.

The Marblehead Farmers’ Market at 217 Pleasant St. is a perfect place to buy some last-minute Father’s Day gifts. The market is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. from June 1 through Nov. 23.

If you are looking for something to eat, check out the Father’s Day barbeque brunch buffet and clambake at The Beacon. Reserve online or call 781-631-0180.

Java Sun at 35 Atlantic Ave. is offering a Father’s Day special. If you purchase a $50 gift card, you can receive a $25 card for free, and if you purchase a $100 gift card, you can receive a $50 gift card for free between June 14 and 16.

For a low-budget option, a handmade card and a picnic on the beach are just as special as anything you can buy.
