To the community of Marblehead:
On behalf of the Marblehead Museum, I would like to thank the many community members who attended and who generously donated to the museum’s fifth annual Treasure Sale, held on Aug. 17. All of the hundreds of vintage, collectible, and antique goods we offered were donated specifically for the sale. We are grateful that, in the midst of stressful life events, such as moving or clearing out a loved one’s estate, residents took the time to reach out to the museum and bring us donations for the sale.
The museum, a private nonprofit, receives no funding from the Town of Marblehead, so these fundraisers are essential for keeping the lights on and supporting the work we do at our four sites in town to preserve Marblehead’s history and provide programmatic and educational opportunities throughout the year.
We are sincerely grateful.
