To the editor,
I first met Emily DeJoy as “the lady with the Great Dane” walking through our town. Over time, those friendly hellos turned into real conversations – and I’ve come to know Emily as someone who is deeply thoughtful, passionate about education, and wholeheartedly committed to our community.
Emily has a calm, steady presence and a genuine way of connecting with people. She listens closely, speaks with care, and brings people together with respect and purpose. I’ve been consistently impressed by her insight and her dedication to making our schools the best they can be for every child.
As a passerby and now a friend, I truly believe Emily DeJoy would be a strong, compassionate, and effective member of the School Committee. Our town would be lucky to have her voice at the table.
