To the editor,
How often, especially in recent years, have we thought to ourselves or heard friends/neighbors (Cliffie?!) lament: “We NEED more native Marbleheaders in local office!”?
This week, during early voting hours, as well as ON election day, June 10, Marblehead will be very fortunate to have the opportunity to put another home-grown talent onto a local board.
Our own Emily Dunham DeJoy has an academic & professional background in economics and multi-venture investing; problem-solving and critical thinking are built into her day-to-day routine.
Combined with her status as a NATIVE, life-long Marblehead resident (with an inherent love of this community!), we have the optimal candidate to join incumbent, Alison Taylor (also born & raised in THIS town!) on our School Committee.
I ask that all Marblehead citizens, who have been yearning for:
hard-working, genuinely invested people, who truly LOVE this town, like no “transplanter” can, who also have the superior technical and inter-personal skills – to please vote for Emily Dunham DeJoy (and Alison Taylor, with her proven record) to serve this community proudly.
The other three School Committee candidates ALL have less than a decade and a half of residency here. Do they really know and love Marblehead the way native Marbleheaders do?
Emily has resided here more than twice as long as any other candidate, besides Alison. She’s primed to help propel Marblehead Schools to the level of achievement we all hope for, and expect of them. Vote for the success of our schools, with the proven success of native Marbleheaders. This is our chance!
