LTTE: Northeast Arc thanks event participants

October 16, 2024 by To The Editor

To the editor:

Northeast Arc recently held two major fundraising events on back-to-back days and would like to thank the sponsors, attendees, volunteers, and many others involved in making both very successful.

Northeast Arc’s 55th annual Mike Frangos Commodore Invitational Golf Tournament raised more than $177,000 to help the Northeast Arc support children and adults with disabilities and autism and their families.

The event, the oldest continuous charity golf tournament in the country, would not have been so successful without the support of the tournament’s presenting sponsor HUB International, and the leadership provided by Charles Brophy, President and CEO of HUB International New England, and Jim Palleschi, the company’s Senior Vice President. Northeast Arc awarded the first annual Trip Hargrave Winner’s Cup to the winning foursome from Philadelphia Insurance, named in honor of Trip Hargrave, the tournament’s long-time host.

Major sponsors included Atlantic Charter Insurance, The McCarthy Family Foundation, PLAN of Massachusetts & Rhode Island, Dave Wooton, Eastern Bank, Huron Consulting, and the Ogan Family.

Thank you to Maryanne McCarthy, who was interviewed during the dinner by Boston media personality, Kim Carrigan, to share how she has benefited from Northeast Arc.  Carrigan, host of the Carrigan & Company podcast was also the recipient of this year’s Mike Frangos award for her dedication to Northeast Arc and specifically the golf tournament.

We are also thankful to the more than 400 people who joined us at MarketStreet Lynnfield to Run, Walk, and Roll for inclusion. We are pleased to report that we raised more than $55,000.

Sponsors of the 5K for Inclusion included PLAN of Massachusetts & Rhode Island, MarketStreet Lynnfield, Eastern Bank, Law Office of Horigan & Norman, The Andover Companies, Salem Five, Awaken Aesthetics, Joe Diorio, Rock the Spectrum Foundation, and RSM.  Our top individual fundraiser was Mary Theo, the top overall fundraising team was Joey’s Voice, and our top staff fundraising team was the Northeast Arc Early Intervention Program.
