Marblehead-based business to be featured at Thrive Initiative

September 6, 2023 by Benjamin Pierce

Colby Davis Jewelry has an important role in the North Shore Chamber of Commerce’s upcoming Thrive Initiative on Thursday, Sept. 28. The Marblehead-based company’s founders will be the keynote speakers at the luncheon, which will be held at the Boston Marriott in Peabody.

The company just opened its first retail store on Newbury Street in August. The brand was founded in 2014 by Marblehead resident Lia Davis Lombara and her two daughters, Lexi Colby Lombara and Taylor Davis Lombara.

Lia Davis Lombara and Lexi Colby Lombara will participate in a panel discussion with Chamber President and CEO Karen Andreas to share the origin story of their jewelry line and the growth of their business over its nine years of existence.

Lia Davis Lombara has a fine arts degree from Boston College and a minor in jewelry from the Tufts School of the Museum of Fine Arts. As teenagers, Lexi Colby Lombara and Taylor Davis Lombara joined their mother to design the jewelry collection. Lexi Colby Lombara now serves as an advisor for business operations, development, and strategic marketing efforts, while Taylor Davis Lombara supports the sales team.

The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. and the keynote address is planned for noon. Its goal is to instill and encourage female empowerment on a personal and professional level. It is sponsored by two notable supporters of the North Shore Chamber, the Institution for Savings and Silver Lining Solutions. Registration is available for the event at www.northshorechamber.org.
