Me&Thee Music announces that the all-volunteer, non-profit music series will re-open on February 7 to kickoff its 2025 Winter-Spring Season with the spirited, upbeat music of Puerto Rico and the Emmy nominated Fabiola Méndez Trio. She was recently named Latin Artist of the Year, featured in a concert at Carnegie Hall and headlined a Christmas special program of WGBH-TV. Méndez made history as the first graduate of Berklee College of Music to play the Puerto Rican cuatro as her principal instrument.
On February 28, the 2024 New England Music Awards ‘Performer of the Year” Sarah Blacker and the Light will grace the Me&Thee stage with Aaron Z. Katz of Percy Hill on drums and percussion and Phil Selesnick on keys and bass. Urban folk, country and blues artists Porch Party Mamas will debut at the Me&Thee on Friday, March 7 with a night of upbeat and moving original songs on guitar, piano, accordion, fiddle and percussion.
A special night is planned on Friday, March 21 as Don White and Hayley Reardon will appear together for the Me&Thee’s 55th Anniversary Concert. Don and Hayley have been great friends for years and have both nurtured and developed their musical careers on this historic Marblehead stage.
Grammy nominee Guy Davis brings his exceptional traditional blues, roots and world music to the Me&Thee on Friday, April 4. He’s played all over the world alongside Pete Seeger, Bruce Springsteen, Kris Kristofferson, Taj Mahal, Keb Mo, John Denver and many others.
Coming later in the spring will be the return of the Jon Pousette-Dart Acoustic Duo on April 25; Heather Maloney on Friday, May 2 and John Gorka will close the season on May 16. Doors open at 7:15 p.m., and the music begins shortly after 8 p.m. Me&Thee is an all-volunteer, non-profit arts organization at the UU Church, 28 Mugford Street, Marblehead, now in its 55th Season. Freshly baked desserts, mulled cider, coffee, tea and seltzers are available before the show and during intermission.
