Sarah Blacker is set to perform at Me&Thee Feb. 28.

Me&Thee presents ‘Performer of the Year’ Sarah Blacker and the Light

February 19, 2025 by For The Weekly News

Sarah Blacker and the Light, the 2024 New England Music Awards’ “Performer of the Year,” will take the stage on Feb. 28 at 28 Mugford St.

Blacker’s band features Mark Lipman and Danielle Lovasco on backing vocals, Aaron Zen Katz on drums and percussion and Phil Selesnick on keys and bass. There will also be a special guest, Carl Eisman, on guitar.

According to Me&Thee, “Blacker has toured nationally and internationally, playing to sold-out shows throughout the U.S. and Germany.” She is known as “a psychotherapist and Board-certified music therapist who isn’t shy to explore the soulful depths of human existence within her lyrics, providing honesty, a touch of sarcasm and always much hope in her songs and stories.”

Blacker opened for Patty Larkin’s sold-out show at Me&Thee last November and is now being welcomed back as a headliner. Opening for Sarah Blacker and the Light will be Massachusetts native Cara Brindisi, who was a contestant on The Voice back in 2022.

Freshly baked desserts, mulled cider, coffee, tea and seltzers will be available before the show and during intermission.

Tickets are only available at meandthee.org and at Arnould Gallery at 111 Washington St. College students can get tickets for $10, and everyone else can get tickets for $25. Doors will open at 7:15 p.m., and the show will begin at 8 p.m.
