MHD Cruise In returns May 13

April 30, 2025 by Amanda Lurey

Marblehead’s MHD Cruise In — a free, casual car meet that takes place on the second Tuesday of each month from May through October — is returning next month.

This year’s MHD Cruise In events will be: May 13, June 10, July 8, Aug. 12, Sept. 9 and Oct. 14. The events will run from 6-8 p.m. at its new location: the Devereux Beach parking lot across the street.

Event organizer Nick Parente said the change in location was because “our mid-summer events were drawing over 100 cars, and we simply outgrew the old lot, Riverhead Beach. The new location gives us more space, a smoother surface and puts us even closer to ice cream!”

He added that attendees typically “hang out, chat about the cars, grab an ice cream at Neck Run Cafe or bring their dogs for a walk on the dog beach across the street,” and that “there’s no need to show up early or stay late – it’s just about having fun and enjoying the evening.”

According to Parente, MHD Cruise In “is a great excuse to enjoy a summer evening at the beach, check out some cool cars and connect with others.”

“Whether you’re a car enthusiast or just looking for a fun, low-key night out, it’s a great way to get out of the house and enjoy Marblehead in the warmer months,” he said. “It is also a great event for families. There are always kids, strollers and dogs among the cars.”
