Town seeking one full-time civil service lateral transfer police officer
The Town of Marblehead is seeking a highly motivated police officer who believes in and have practiced community policing and procedural justice philosophies, for a lateral transfer to this department. They must be currently employed as a full-time, civil service-sworn police officer eligible for transfer, under Chapter 31, Section 35 of Massachusetts General Laws, and maintain an active certification from the Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards (POST) Commission. Energy efficiency marketing program manager
Under supervision of the General Manager, lead the development, marketing, and operational management of MMLD’s energy efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization programs offered to MMLD residential and commercial customers. Lead related initiatives within MMLD facilities and operations.

Under the general direction of the Director of Health, is responsible for conducting health-related investigations, determining violations of community/state codes, and alerting the public a variety of health hazards.

Senior facilities and maintenance specialist – Seven years experience
Under the general direction of the manager of technical operations, this position is responsible for various maintenance tasks on department buildings, facilities, and equipment. This can include general maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, or coordination and oversight of private contractors on the department’s HVAC geothermal system, substation grounds and facilities, generation equipment and facilities, and department vehicles.

Traffic supervisors (crossing guards)
Traffic supervisors, or school crossing guards, are part-time civilian employees responsible for directing traffic at assigned school crossings to ensure the safety of the school children, while also providing for the safe and orderly movement of vehicular traffic.
Applicants are required to submit a Town of Marblehead employment application. Applicants are then required to pass a thorough background check, and interview with the chief of police or his/her designee, and pass a physical examination administered by an occupational health clinic at the Town of Marblehead’s choosing.
