Twenty- five years ago, Marblehead High School began collaborating with the Food Pantry to provide items for Thanksgiving. Eighteen years ago, the Village School joined the effort and shortly thereafter, Coffin School (now Brown) also got on board gathering donations for the Pantry.
Village and Brown were joined this year by the Glover School and the Veterans Middle School in stocking the shelves of the Food Pantry. An amazing amount of targeted food items and toiletries were collected!
Students were on hand first thing Monday morning to ferry items out to the cars/trucks of the Thanksgiving elves… Mark and Linda Mills, Rob Gorman, Seamus Kraft and Lisa Gorman…who brought the items to the Pantry storage area.
This year the HS plans on sponsoring a food collection in January.
