Wednesday, April 30

Alarms

A report of a 911 hang-up at 11:47 a.m. on Everett Paine Boulevard. Officers investigated.

Annoying Phone Calls

A report of annoying phone calls at 12:54 p.m. on Tidewinds Terrace. Services rendered.

Assist Citizen

A report of assistance to a citizen at 5:09 p.m. on Redstone Lane. Officers provided help on scene.

Be On The Look Out

A report of a BOLO at 11:16 a.m. on Raymond Road in Salem. Services rendered.

Complaint General

A report of a general complaint at 8:31 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue. Services rendered; another complaint was reported at 9:14 a.m. on Pickwick Road. Officers investigated; a third report was taken at 5:01 p.m. near Elm Street and Green Street. Officers investigated and a final complaint was filed at 7:01 p.m. on Humphrey Street. A report was taken.

Detail

Police details were reported at 7:50 a.m. on Stonybrook Road, with officers assigned to two posts.

Found/Lost Property

A report of found property at 8:58 a.m. on Bubier Road. Officers rendered services.

Larceny/Forgery/Fraud

A report of larceny/forgery/fraud at 11:01 a.m. on Yolande Road. Officers investigated.

Motor Vehicles

A report of a moving motor vehicle complaint at 7:56 a.m. on Ocean Avenue. Officers rendered services. A verbal warning was issued after a stop at 7:05 a.m. near Humphrey Street and Sheldon Road. A citation was issued at 9:15 p.m. after a stop at Pickwick Road and Humphrey Street.

Property Checks

Reports of property checks throughout the day included the following times and locations: 12:10 a.m. and 1:04 a.m. on West Shore Drive; 1:33 a.m. and 1:51 a.m. on Pleasant Street; 9:25 a.m., 5:06 p.m., 9:29 p.m., and 9:48 p.m. on Community Road; 9:32 a.m., 5:04 p.m., and 9:46 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue; and 10:24 p.m. on Lighthouse Lane. All checks were completed with services rendered or buildings secured.

Utilities

Various utility work was reported beginning at 6:50 a.m., including Mayer Line Clearing and contractors such as RJ Devereaux and Granese working on Evans Road, Elm Street, Guernsey Street, Bubier Road, Roosevelt Avenue, Pleasant Street, Watson Street, Spring Street, Old Salem Road, and Pond Street. Verizon and Grid crews were also active on Humphrey Street and Pond Street. Services rendered throughout.

Thursday, May 1

Alarms

A burglar alarm was reported at 6:04 a.m. on Maple Street. Responding officers determined it was a false alarm. Another burglar alarm was reported at 2:44 p.m. on Doaks Lane. Fire personnel also responded. That call was also deemed a false alarm.

Assist Citizen

An officer assisted a resident at 5:47 p.m. on Bessom Street. Services were rendered.

Complaints General

Officers responded to multiple general complaints: at 4:49 a.m. on Shetland Road, which was determined to be unfounded; at 8:42 a.m. on Lincoln Avenue, with services rendered; at 10 a.m. again on Lincoln Avenue, where no action was required; at 11 a.m. on Shorewood Road, where fire and EMS personnel also responded; at 2:13 p.m. on Thomas Circle, with services rendered; at 3:02 p.m. on Orne Street, with services rendered; and at 5 p.m. on Rowland Street, where a report was taken. A final call came in at 11:02 p.m. on Prospect Street, where services were rendered.

Detail – Police

Police details were assigned to various work or safety operations throughout the day at locations including Stonybrook Road and Humphrey Street. Some assignments required action, while others did not.

Disturbances

A disturbance was reported at 12:53 a.m. on Broughton Road. Officers responded and took a report. A second disturbance occurred at 11:18 p.m. on Barnard Hawkes Court. Officers responded and restored the peace.

General Information

At 10:21 a.m., a report of general information was logged from Atlantic Avenue. Officers provided assistance and services.

Larceny/Forgery/Fraud

A report of larceny was taken at 12:32 p.m. on Hillside Avenue. An investigation was opened.

Motor Vehicles

Motor vehicle activity included a stop resulting in a verbal warning at 3:04 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue, and moving vehicle complaints at 3:07 p.m. on Humphrey Street and Sheldon Road, and at 4:12 p.m. on Pleasant Street and Edgewood Road. Officers investigated the latter.

Property Checks

Officers conducted property checks at several locations throughout the day: at 10:29 a.m., 6:22 p.m., 6:42 p.m., and 9:09 p.m. on Community Road; at 10:32 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue; at 9:54 p.m. on Lighthouse Lane; and at 11:14 p.m. on Wyman Road.

Suspicious Activity

Suspicious activity was reported at 2:15 a.m. on Ocean Avenue. Officers investigated and provided assistance.

Utilities

Officers responded to a utility issue at 11:19 a.m. on Orne Street. Services were rendered.

Work Details

Several work crews, including RJ Devereaux, Mayer Line Clearing, and Granese, were active throughout town. Work locations included Woodfin Terrace, Evans Road, Elm Street, Bubier Road, Roosevelt Avenue, and Pleasant Street. Services were rendered at each site.

Friday, May 2

Alarms

A report of a dining room motion alarm at 3:04 p.m. on Humphrey Street was determined to be false. A burglar alarm was reported at 8:06 p.m. on Foster Street. No action was required.

Complaints General

Officers responded to a general complaint at 2:22 p.m. on Pond Street. Services were rendered. Another complaint was reported at 3:07 p.m. on Lafayette Street and a report was taken. A third complaint at 6:04 p.m. on High Street also resulted in a report being taken.

Larceny/Forgery/Fraud

A report of larceny/forgery/fraud was investigated at 2:43 p.m. on Summer Street. Services were rendered.

Motor Vehicles

A motor vehicle crash was reported at 10:25 a.m. on Orne Street. Services were rendered. A moving motor vehicle complaint was reported at 11:07 a.m. at Pleasant Street and Rockaway Street. Officers responded to another crash at 2:04 p.m. on Bessom Street, which was investigated. Several motor vehicle stops occurred: at 1:32 p.m. at Pleasant Street and Ocean Avenue (verbal warning), at 7:11 p.m. at Atlantic Avenue and Barnard Street (citation issued), at 8:06 p.m. at Lafayette Street and Everett Paine Boulevard (verbal warning), and at 8:21 p.m. on Gilbert Heights Road (verbal warning). Officers were unable to locate a vehicle involved in a moving complaint at 10:57 p.m. on Lafayette Street.

Property Checks

Reports of property checks were logged at 1 a.m. on West Shore Drive; 9:16 a.m., 5:36 p.m., and 9:49 p.m. on Community Road; 9:19 a.m., 5:15 p.m., and 9:51 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue; and 11:20 a.m. on Village Street.

Suspicious Activity

Suspicious activity was reported at 4:45 p.m. on West Shore Drive. Officers responded but were unable to locate the source.

Utilities

Crews from Mayer Line Clearing, RJ Devereaux, and Granese were observed performing work beginning around 6:50 a.m. in various locations including Woodfin Terrace, Evans Road, Guernsey Street, Elm Street, Sewall Street, Bubier Road, Roosevelt Avenue, Pleasant Street, and Spring Street. Services were rendered or no action was required depending on the site.

Work Details

Police details were assigned at 7:50 a.m. on Stonybrook Road to support various utility and construction crews working in the area. Services were rendered.

Saturday, May 3

911 Hang-Ups

Multiple 911 hang-ups were reported throughout the day: 8:09 a.m. on Waldron Street, 3:11 p.m. on Seaview Avenue, 3:21 p.m. on Hawkes Street, and 6:23 p.m. on Nahant Street. All were investigated or resolved with no emergency found.

Alarms

A report of a burglar alarm at 2:59 p.m. on Humphrey Street was investigated and determined to be a false alarm. Another report of a false alarm from Room 152 on Baldwin Road came in at 3:31 p.m. Officers responded to both.

Assist Citizen

Assistance was provided to citizens at 4:26 p.m. on West Shore Drive and again at 5:54 p.m. on Maple Street. Officers responded and addressed concerns at both locations.

Building Checks

Building checks were conducted at 12:47 a.m. on Washington Street and 12:58 a.m. on Stramski Way. Both locations were found secure.

Complaint General

General complaints were logged at 6:35 a.m. on Pleasant Street, 9:15 a.m. on Guernsey Street, 9:18 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue, 9:50 a.m. on Ocean Avenue, 12:05 p.m. on Flint Street, 4:16 p.m. on Humphrey Street, 4:40 p.m. on Broughton Road, 6:07 p.m. on Creesy Street, and 10:18 p.m. on Broughton Road. Officers rendered services, conducted investigations, and filed reports as needed.

Disturbance

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at 5:45 p.m. on Stacey Court. A subject was transported to the hospital with assistance from EMS. A report was filed.

Found/Lost Property

Lost or found property was reported at 10:58 a.m. on Seaview Avenue and 11:50 a.m. at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Gerry Street. Services were rendered at both scenes.

Motor Vehicles

Motor vehicle crashes were reported at 1:24 p.m. on Front Street, which required no further action, and at 4:31 p.m. on Lighthouse Lane. The latter resulted in a report being taken. Officers also addressed two separate moving motor vehicle complaints at 5:47 p.m. on Harbor Avenue (determined to be unfounded) and at 6 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue and Seaview Avenue, where services were rendered. A motor vehicle stop at 10:09 p.m. on Gilbert Heights Road and Ocean Avenue resulted in a citation.

Out Of Town 911 Call

A 911 call was transferred to the appropriate agency at 4:33 p.m. for an incident on Winter Island in Salem.

Property Checks

Property checks were performed throughout the day at the following locations: 6:19 p.m., 8:15 p.m., and 9:43 p.m. on Atlantic Avenue; 8:23 p.m. and 9:46 p.m. on Community Road; and 10:02 p.m. on Lighthouse Lane. All locations were found secure.

Scam Attempt

An attempted scam was reported at 4:39 p.m. on Washington Street. Officers responded and provided assistance to the resident.

Utilities

A utility-related issue was reported at 8:10 a.m. on Waldron Street. The matter was referred to the appropriate agency.

Sunday, May 4

Assist Other Agency

A report of assistance to another agency at 2:50 a.m. on Gerry Street. Services were rendered.

Complaints General

A report of a general complaint at 12:36 p.m. on Ruby Avenue. Officers responded and took a report; a report at 6:24 p.m. on Village Street. Officers restored the peace; a report at 11:08 p.m. on State Street. Officers determined no further action was required.

Dance Recital

A report of a dance recital detail at 12:50 p.m. on Pleasant Street. Officers provided assistance at the event.

General Information

A report of general information at 10:04 a.m. on Russell Street. The information was referred to the appropriate agency.

Housing Construction Hours

A report of a construction hours issue at 7:50 a.m. on Pleasant Street. Officers provided guidance and services were rendered.

Identity Fraud

A report of identity fraud at 8:38 p.m. on Fairview Road. A resident reported unauthorized activity. Officers took a report for further investigation.

Motor Vehicles

A report of a moving motor vehicle complaint at 5:29 p.m. near Humphrey Street and Lafayette Street. Officers searched the area but could not locate the vehicle.

Traffic Details

A report of a traffic detail for a memorial service at 1:34 p.m. on Community Road. Officers provided assistance with traffic flow.

Unintentional 911 Calls

A report of a 911 hang-up at 3:41 p.m. on Pleasant Street. Officers responded and determined no emergency.

Monday, May 5

911 Hang Up

Reports of 911 hang ups at 6:21 a.m. Monday on Creesy Street and 1:50 p.m. on Crowninshield Road.

Assist Citizen

A report of assisting a citizen at 11:34 p.m. Monday on Vine Street.

BOLO Stolen Vehicle

A report of a be on the look out for a stolen black Nissan with the license plate 23H590 at 2:02 a.m. Monday on Highland Avenue.

Complaint General

A report of a general complaint at 7:05 p.m. Monday on Fort Sewall Lane.
