Seniors are invited to join Laurie Hark for a guided walk through the Forest River and Lead Mills Conservation Areas on Tuesday, June 17, at 9:30 a.m.
The mile-long stroll will take participants through gentle hills and last about an hour. Hark, a Marblehead resident who has led tours for Audubon, the Peabody Essex Museum, and Greenbelt, will highlight the natural features and history of the areas.
The walk is timed to take advantage of low tide, though some trails may still be wet from the last high tide. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars to spot egrets and other wetland birds and to wear sturdy footwear.
The event is free, but registration is required. To sign up and learn the meeting location, visit marbleheadconservancy.org and follow the link at the bottom of the home page or go directly to marbleheadconservancy.org/senior-stroll-through-forest-river-and-lead-mills/.
