Ellen Epstein, a sculptor and native of the town, has created a unique garden destination.
The Marblehead Sculpture Gallery and Garden began during the COVID-19 pandemic as a sanctuary for people to retreat from the world.
“It is a place to have fun, relax, replenish, rejuvenate, explore, or just rest,” Epstein said.
The garden is also home to one-of-a-kind colorful outdoor stained-glass sculptures, such as two-sided standing sculptures and 7-foot-tall pyramids that visitors can sit in.
The “magical garden,” as it is often called, also includes tools to spark the creativity of visitors, such as journals, colors, instruments, and a water garden.
“People are experiencing more stress and the Marblehead Sculpture Garden is a place where people can be themselves,” Epstein said. “There is something for everyone.”
The garden even has a shop in a tiny house filled with colorful and inspirational gifts.
Epstein invites members of the public to utilize the space for their enjoyment and well-being.
Visiting the garden is free, and visits can be scheduled online at https://www.marbleheadsculptures.com/book-online
Upon booking, you will be given the address and any additional details.
“Best of all, when people schedule a visit, they experience the garden by themselves, as if it is their own, for up to an hour,” Epstein said.
