Upcoming community events

November 1, 2023 by Ryan Vermette

Join HisTOURy tours as they explore the coastal towns of Marblehead and Swampscott to see and learn about one of New England’s iconic architectural styles and the people that called them home! The Shingle style is quintessential to the Bay State’s shoreline, having been popular for the beach retreats of Boston’s turn-of-the-century well-to-do. With weathered wood shingles, cool verandas, and a casual approach to form, these homes still evoke those fashionable and relaxed summers. From the comfort of a charter bus, we will see and discuss around 25 of these homes, with several unique interior stops! The bus will depart from the Marblehead area. Exact location details coming soon. This is a one-time-only tour. Tickets are $75 for adults and $49 for students.

Photography Meetup

Member and non-member photographers are invited to the Marblehead Arts Association for an informal meetup of fellow enthusiasts. Guests are encouraged to bring samples of their work if they wish. Learn about techniques, the latest innovations in photography and digital art and connect with old and new friends. Attendees are welcome to BYOB or a snack to share!
