Upcoming community events

December 27, 2023 by For The Weekly News

Rest & Receive

Welcome to The Yoga Loft’s candlelit practice, where Cindy and Mary Beth will gently guide you inward toward relaxation. You are invited to receive a Healing Sound Bath and a profoundly transformative Yoga Nidra rest experience all while melting into Reiki-infused restorative yoga poses with essential oils. Each experience within this workshop will encourage you to luxuriate in the present moment, clear your mind, relax your body, and embrace your spirit. As we move through layers of ourselves, we land softly on the edge between awake and asleep open to the silent wisdom of our heart’s longing and loving awareness.

Dad’s & Donuts

Join Hestia on the first Saturday of each month for a special Dads & Donuts event – a great time for kids and their dad or father figure to play in our Paint Your Own Pottery studio! There will be complimentary donuts, creativity, and fun provided to all participants. Scheduled dates are Jan. 6, Feb. 3 and March 2, and will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. For more information, reach out to pyop@hestiacreations.com or call (781) 639-2727.

Tree Burning

Mark your calendars! The Annual Tree Burning is Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024 at 6 p.m. at Riverhead Beach!

Photography Meetup

Member and non-member photographers are invited to the Marblehead Arts Association for an informal meetup of photography enthusiasts. Learn about new techniques, the latest innovations in photography and digital art, receive feedback on your work, and connect with fellow shutterbugs.

Chris Herren

Join the Marblehead Public Schools for this powerful presentation. Former NBA Celtics player from Fall River, Chris Herren, had a successful professional basketball career when he lost it all to the disease of addiction. Chris has now been sober for 15 years and has since shared his journey with others with the goal of having a positive impact on them. He founded the nonprofit Herren Project. Through this organization, Chris and his team empower schools and communities to make healthy choices, while also guiding families through recovery. The event is Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at Marblehead High School Auditorium. This event is open to the public. For questions contact Gina Hart: hart.gina@marbleheadschools.org
