The Marblehead Garden Club is hosting its annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 18 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Lee Mansion Gardens, 161 Washington St. Rain date is May 19. Come early for the best selection!
Sunday, May 19: The General & the King
For National Architecture Preservation Month in May, an illustrated talk at the King Hooper Mansion with Judy Anderson will show the stunning architecture and some furnishings of “King” Hooper’s grand summer house in then-rural Danvers. The talks are presented by social and architectural historian Judy Anderson as part of “Rev250Mhd” – Marblehead’s multi-year commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
Tuesday, May 21: Youth Choral Workshop
Join Marblehead Little Theatre for their Youth Chorus Workshop! Through music, singers ages 11 to 15 are challenged and encouraged to develop music and vocal skills, build confidence, discipline, self-esteem, and an understanding and love of the art of music. Ages 11 to 15. In rehearsals, singers can expect to focus on: healthy vocal technique, singing with expression, working as a team, and having fun! Our goal is to learn several songs in three-part harmony that we’ll perform at the conclusion of the workshop.
Wednesday, May 22: Marblehead Images with Dan Dixey
The Dolphin Yacht Club and Liz Steinfeld Lingerie are hosting a event on Wednesday, May 22 from 6 to 10 to raise money for lung cancer research. Join them for their Cure by the Harbor event for a night of lingerie, light bites, sipping, and shopping. The Christine Lucas Band will be playing and it will be a fun night that will support lung cancer research.
