Saturday, Aug. 31 – Meet the Marquis de Lafayette

To celebrate the 200th anniversary of Lafayette’s tour of the U.S. and his visit to Marblehead and the Jeremiah Lee Mansion, the Marblehead Museum will host a gathering in the Lee Mansion Gardens (rain or shine), 12 – 1:30 pm. A Lafayette reenactor will arrive in a carriage and address the crowd. Refreshments will be served. This program is free. Co-Sponsored by Lafayette 200.

Monday, Sept. 2 – The Walk-Talk Collective

A new kind of walking group dedicated to walking and talking about what’s weighing on our mental health. First walk is Sept. 2 (rain or shine) from 6:30 – 7:30 a.m. at the Village School Track, 93 Village St.

Tuesday, Sept. 3 – State Primaries – polls open at Jacobi Community Center

Friday, Sept. 6 and Saturday, Sept. 7 – Jeremiah Lee’s Secret Revolution Tour

Join Judy Anderson for an outdoor walking tour about Colonel Jeremiah Lee’s risky, secret, and ultimately fatal activities during a tumultuous year from June 1774 until his death in May 1775. Rebel American colonists, including Col. Lee, began taking daring and dangerous actions while rebelling against England. The tours will meet on Friday, Sept. 6 at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person.

Tuesday, Sept. 10 – Oct. 29  – Marblehead Citizens Police Academy

This program is beginning its 10th session at the Jacobi Community Center/COA and meets every Tuesday from 6 – 9 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 14  – Town Wide Sidewalk Sales

Shop Local and Save! Marblehead’s finest boutiques and eateries will offer incredible bargains, discounts and fun for residents and visitors alike.

We welcome you to stroll along Atlantic Avenue, visit the fabulous stores on Pleasant Street, and meander down to the Historic District to enjoy all that Marblehead has to offer.

Held at the Jacobi Community Center/COA from 9 – 11 a.m.
