Marblehead organizations will host several events in observance of Veterans Day. Here’s a look at Friday’s schedule:
Veterans Breakfast
The Senior Center at Jacoby Community Center will host a breakfast honoring veterans at 9 a.m. at 10 Humphrey St.
Remembrance
Marblehead will host a Veterans Day remembrance at 10 a.m. at Abbot Hall, located at 188 Washington St. Doors will open at 9 a.m. Shuttle service from the National Grand Bank rear parking lot will begin at 9 a.m. The last shuttle will leave at 9:45 a.m. A shuttle return trip will take place following the ceremony.
Refreshments for All
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post will host a reception with refreshments at 11 a.m. at 321 West Shore Drive. All remembrance attendees are welcome following the 10 a.m. ceremony at Abbot Hall.
Town Hall Event
Marblehead will host congressman and veteran Seth Moulton for a town hall event in the Abbot Hall auditorium at 12 p.m. at 188 Washington St. All are welcome to attend.
Closures
In observance of Veterans Day, trash and recycling will be picked up one day late. It will be collected on Nov. 12. The Transfer Station will also be closed Friday in observance of the holiday.
