Clifton Lutheran Church

150 Humphrey St. 

Clifton Lutheran Church is a welcoming congregation of young and old who come together through community presence and outreach. All are welcome here, wherever you are in your life’s spiritual journey. Our weekly service is at 10 a.m. in person and on Zoom; Communion is celebrated each Sunday. The service consists of Bible readings and the message of Christ to a contemporary age, as well as the beautiful music of a magnificent choir. A coffee hour of delicious food and lively conversation follows the service. We offer Sunday School at 9 a.m. and Confirmation Class following coffee hour. The North Shore Youth Ministry, combined with Old North  Church, First Church of Swampscott, and St. Andrew’s Church,  is offered to middle grades (6-7-8) and high school (9-12). Pastor James Bixby and Rabbi David J. Meyer can be seen co-hosting on MHTV: Mosaic. 

Bible Study meets on Zoom Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.. Church Council meets in the church library the first Monday of  the month at 7:30 pm.  

AA meets in the social hall on Thursday at 7 p.m. 

Boy Scouts meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Grace Community Church

17 Pleasant St.

During the school year, we meet each Sunday at 9:15 a.m. for a time of discipleship, followed by our worship service at 10:30 a.m. The service lasts about an hour and includes exhilarating music, prayer, Bible reading, practical and relevant preaching and is followed by a time of refreshments in the fellowship hall. There is a time of prayer each Sunday at 8:45 a.m.

We offer a nursery for children up to 3 years old during our worship service. Children’s Church, for ages 4 through 4th grade, begins after our singing time, and is a fun time with age-appropriate Bible lessons. Our workers and teachers love serving so that parents can take part in the worship service.

Children in grades K-6th are invited to participate in Awana on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m.

Mid-high and high school students meet on Wednesdays from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. It is a special time of remembering what God has done through Jesus Christ.

Those who enjoy doing crafts meet the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

Our Lady, Star of the Sea

Our Mass schedule is weekdays (Monday – Saturday) 9 a.m.; Saturday Vigil, 4 p.m.; Sundays, 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m., and 11 a.m.

The Centering Prayer Group meets on Mondays following the 9 a.m. Mass, and the Parish Rosary Group meets every Thursday following the 9 a.m. Mass to pray the Rosary. All are welcome.

Confessions are heard on Saturdays, 2:30 p.m.–3:30 p.m. or upon request (please call (781) 631-0086 for an appointment).

To make arrangements for Baptism and Baptismal Catechesis, please contact the Rectory at (781) 631-0086, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.– 3 p.m.

Old North Church
35 Washington St.

Old North Church is a traditional, vibrant, inclusive, and progressive Christian community.

Weekly worship services are held in the Sanctuary from early September through June. Two services are held: a contemplative service without music at 8 a.m., and a traditional service with music at 10am. After the 10 a.m. service, coffee hour is held in the Parish Hall. Communion is held the first Sunday of the month and all are welcome. There is childcare (for infants and toddlers) and Sunday school (for ages 5-12) during the 10am service, provided by trained and CORIed adults.

We are an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ. We embrace the beautiful diversity of all God’s beloved children; we have been welcoming LGTBQ+ people in our church for decades. Wherever you are on life’s spiritual journey, you are welcome at Old North Church.

There is parking available in the lot of the Church office at 8 Stacey Street, the Sanctuary is wheelchair accessible and each Sunday a livestream of the 10am worship is available on our Website for those not able to attend the service in person.

Church of St. Andrew

135 Lafayette St.

We celebrate Rite II of the Episcopal liturgy at our regular Sunday services at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. with slight changes of schedule for major holy days, such as Easter and Christmas and with occasional special alternate liturgies. The 8 a.m. service is a spoken service; the 10 a.m. service is a musical service, with hymns and organ followed by a coffee fellowship in the parish hall. There is also a Wednesday noon Eucharist. We provide a weekly email blast of information, as well as our monthly Chimes newsletter. We are an open and affirming congregation and provide opportunities for participation in outreach, fellowship, and ministry. The Beloved Community Team has members both from St. Andrew’s and from our sister parish, St. Stephen’s, Lynn. We meet the second Thursday evening of each month at St. Stephen’s. We challenge ourselves with brave, courageous conversations, focusing on white privilege and the eradication of racism and social injustice.

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church

26 Pleasant St.

Worship on Sunday celebrates an Episcopal sung service, Holy Eucharist, Rite II. Service is at 10 a.m., followed by fellowship in the parish hall. Services are in person and online stmichaels1714.org.

Choral Evensong is presented on the first Sunday of the month, October through May at 5 p.m. with a reception immediately following.

Prayer Shawl Ministry meets weekly, Mondays at 11 a.m. in the Library.

St. Catherine’s Service & Fellowship meets the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

Wisdom & Friendship meets the first & third Friday at 10:30 a.m.

AA meets every Wednesday at 8 p.m.

The last Organ Concert will be on May 19 at 5 p.m.

All are Welcome. St. Michael’s is an open and affirming congregation and one of the oldest Episcopal churches in New England

St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church

Sunday services are in-person or online at 10:30 a.m. Vespers are 7 p.m. on select Wednesdays throughout the year.

Temple Emanu-El

We welcome Shabbat on Fridays, 6 p.m.-7 p.m. Services are being streamed on our Facebook page accessed by visiting emanu-el.org/service-schedule. Congregants and visitors may also attend in person for Shabbat worship.

Our monthly Family Shabbat services are at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and arts and crafts for kids. 

Torah study takes place at 10 a.m. on the first and second Saturdays of the month via Zoom.

Service times include Kabbalat Shabbat, Friday, 6 p.m.

Shabbat service, Saturday, 9:30 a.m. and Minyans, Saturday, 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. 

Tuesday-Thursday Minyans are held at Congregation Shirat Hayam, 55 Atlantic Ave., Swampscott.

Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead

Rev. Edmund Robinson leads Sunday services at 10:30 a.m., both in-person and online by visiting www.uumarblehead.org.
Sunday Seminars starts at 9 a.m. and are held weekly from September thru June.
Parking is available at Harris Court, Mugford, Pond, and in the Gerry School parking lot on Elm Street.
Childcare is available for infants, and toddlers.
