Friday, April 12 – Sunday, April 14: “Mother of the Maid”
Marblehead Little Theatre presents “Mother of the Maid” from April 5 – 14. The story of Joan of Arc’s mother, a sensible, hard-working, God-fearing peasant woman whose faith is upended as she deals with the baffling journey of her odd and extraordinary daughter. This riveting play is an epic tale told through an unexpected and remarkable perspective. It’s hard to be a mother in the 15th century.
Saturday, April 13, 1 – 3 p.m.: Empowered Pregnancy: A Prenatal Workshop
Learn how to modify your yoga practice for pregnancy and postpartum in this workshop. We’ll discuss how and when to modify postures, learn healthy breathing mechanics, and have an opportunity to meet other like-minded mamas in the area. The goal of this workshop is to empower mamas-to-be with the tools they need to continue practicing well throughout pregnancy. The first half of the workshop will be discussion, followed by a gentle practice and extended meditation. Location: The Yoga Loft.
Sunday, April 14, 3:30 – 5 p.m.: Marblehead Poet’s Group
Marblehead Poets is a collective open to writers in any genre that meets once per month at the MAA on Sundays to discuss writing practices, share work, and provide feedback.
