INTERVIEWED: Kevin Mahoney, Shubie’s wine manager.
LISTENING: Classic rock, jazz… always trying to sneak the ’70s on ’70s (Pandora) channel on at work.
WATCHING: Crime documentaries… I can’t get enough of them. Just turning them on, I get sucked in!
READING: I got a very voluminous book for Christmas, which I have been picking away at. “The New French Wine” by Jon Bonne. It’s about the newer wine regions but also about the producers themselves. You don’t often find a wine book about the producers.
SOMETHING PEOPLE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU OR YOUR CAREER: I swam with sharks in the Great Barrier Reef! It was in an area where the coral was high so the sharks couldn’t get in, but you could see them. I’m actually terrified of sharks…still will not see the movie “Jaws,” just too frightening.
WHAT YOU ENJOY ABOUT MARBLEHEAD: My favorite place is at the end of Devereux Beach. There is an outcropping with a bench and a view! I often stop there when I’m cycling.
WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE ABOUT MARBLEHEAD: The traffic… just getting out of town!
