On Tuesday February 28, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. the Abbot Public Library will be hosting a crafting event for adult lovers of crocheting, knitting, sketching, or other contained crafts.
The casual gathering is a great way for adults to socialize and work on any small creative project of their choice that they bring.
“Attendees have brought beadwork, leatherwork, knitting, and crochet projects. I always print out adult-level coloring sheets for passersby who would like to join but have no project with them. I also pull crafting books from the shelves for inspiration and reference,” said Megan Donoghue, Library Technical Assistance for Abbot Public Library.
The program specifically does not offer instruction in particular crafts but acts as a supportive social environment for creatives.
“I try to run it the fourth Tuesday of every month, with registration helpful but not required at this time,” said Donoghue.
The program will take place in the Program Room, which has a capacity of 49 people. In the past, in the Crafts and Chats program about 15- 20 people attend the creative event.
