Trick-or-treating to take over business districts on Oct. 24

October 16, 2024 by For The Weekly News

On Oct. 24, Marblehead’s business districts will transform into a trick-or-treat haven for local families as the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Trick-or-Treat in the Business Districts event. From 4 to 6 p.m., children in costume will flood the streets, collecting candy from participating retailers and enjoying an early evening of Halloween fun.

Businesses throughout the town will stay open later than usual, offering not only sweets but also extended shopping hours for parents. Participating shops will display a pumpkin poster in their windows, signaling to trick-or-treaters that they are welcome to stop by for treats.

“It’s always exciting to see the community come together for this event,” said a representative from the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce. “The kids have a great time, and it’s also a wonderful way for local businesses to engage with families and show their support for the town.”

But that’s not all the town has planned. Just a few blocks away, the Marblehead Museum and Marblehead Family Fund will host a Pumpkin Illumination at the historic Lee Mansion Garden. From 4 to 7 p.m., families can stroll through the glowing display of creatively carved pumpkins, making the evening even more magical.

“It’s the perfect pairing with trick-or-treating,” said the chamber representative. “You can grab your candy and then head over to the Lee Mansion to enjoy the illuminated pumpkins.”

With both events running back-to-back, the Chamber of Commerce expects a strong turnout from families looking for a fun and safe Halloween experience. For more information, visit the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce website or contact them at (781) 631-2868.
