Jeff Scogland Memorial Fund announces third annual Scogs Street Fest

September 3, 2025 by For The Weekly News

The Jeff Scogland Memorial Fund, created in loving memory of the lifelong Marblehead resident and MHS graduate who passed away unexpectedly in 2022, announces it will host the Third Annual Scogs Street Fest on Saturday, September 13, with a rain date of Sunday, September 14. The 2025 Scogs Street Fest will take place at Bent Water Brewing Co., in Lynn, Mass., from 1-5 pm. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available now on eventbrite.

Since its founding in 2023, Scogs Street Fest has raised more than $85,000 to benefit Marblehead student scholarships and grants supporting both football and performing arts programs. Scogland, a 1995 Marblehead High School graduate, played football all four years and went on to coach his son Jake’s various football teams throughout the years. He was also an enthusiastic supporter of his daughter Isabelle’s many performing arts productions.

“It brings our family great comfort, joy, and pride to see our amazing community rally around this Memorial Fund in Jeff’s name, supporting programs so close to our hearts,” said Jeff’s wife, Stephanie Scogland. “These programs, though very different, both provide critical outlets for our children, helping them navigate whatever challenges life brings. The Scogland Memorial Fund was created to ensure that Marblehead’s football and performing arts programs continue to nurture young people, while recognizing and rewarding the hard work of students who dedicate themselves to their passions.”

The 2025 Scogs Street Fest will feature live music from the Marblehead-based band 5XFast, Come spend the afternoon with friends — old and new — while enjoying live music from local favorites 5xFast, as well as Marblehead High School competition a cappella groups Luminescence and Jewel Tones, food trucks, free non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks, as well as custom merchandise for sale. Sponsorship opportunity details are also available on eventbrite.
Past recipients of Jeff Scogland Memorial Fund Scholarships are Nathan Berry (’24) and Bodie Smith (‘25) for Football achievements and Wyatt Foley (’24) and Anya Kayne (’25) for excellence in the Performing Arts. The Scogland Memorial Fund also provided a grant to the Friends of the Performing Arts for the 2025 Marblehead High School production of Hadestown.
