Marblehead’s field hockey team put on an offensive show against Peabody, 6-1, behind goals from Layla Dulac, Chloe Rowland (2), Keliane Salem (2), and Lucy Rogers. Sadie Beane delivered two assists, Julia Mann dished out another, and Elizabeth Hayes made three saves.
“I’m so proud of the way our team played today,” said Marblehead coach Ali Carey. “The Peabody squad has such great energy. We really enjoy the competition their team brings. We continue to work on our mental skills along with our stick and field skills, and we could see the progress today.”
Peabody captain Chris Troncoso “had a beautiful, unassisted goal,” according to Tanners’ coach Jill Tobin, while Sophia Kassis made 11 saves.

The Magicians were firing on all cylinders Monday evening, scoring eight goals en route to victory. Liv Carlson, Callie Gilmore and Alma Gaunt each scored twice. Cam O’Brien and Gaunt netted their first career goals, while Isabel Mortensen earned her first assist. Goalkeeper Hailey Gilmore played striker in the second half and scored her first goal on a penalty kick. Liv Niles also registered an assist.

Despite playing on enemy hardwood, Marblehead swept Salem in straight sets of 25-17, 25-12, and 25-19.Lila Moniz led the Magicians with 13 kills, followed by Mari Modrzynska (12) and Greta Sachs (10). Setter Eva Burke recorded 35 assists.
Head coach Killeen Miller highlighted the play of Sydney Faris.
“[She] anchored the defense with a standout performance in serve receive, passing a 2.5 and adding 20 digs.”

The Eagles soared to the finish line and claimed victory against Catholic Memorial at Bradley Palmer State Park. Jack McIntosh placed first on the 5K course with a time of 16:19. The Eagles also placed third through eighth: Leo Seltenrich (16:55), Mateo DeOrio (17:02), Liam Mahoney (17:12), Liam Callahan (17:15), Hunter Opal (17:27), Henry McDonnell (17:29).
