St. Andrew’s Rummage Sale
The Church of St. Andrew (Episcopal) in Marblehead will hold its traditional huge rummage sale Saturday, Sept. 30, from 8 a.m. until 11:45 a.m., with stuff-a-bag from noon until 1 p.m. This sale will offer the best inventory since the pandemic. One of the largest such events on the North Shore, the sale offers gently used, quality items at very reasonable prices, including adults’ and children’s clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. Also on sale will be electronics, small appliances, and tools; linens, lamps, and kitchen things; toys, games, and puzzles; holiday items; gardening and sports items; artwork and vintage items; some small furniture. Special items are for sale in the boutique. The sale does not include books or large furniture.

Marblehead Bank will be holding their FREE community-shredding event for the public on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. The event will be held in the parking lot of the bank at 21 Atlantic Ave. Shredding confidential documents is one of the easiest ways to protect yourself from identity theft! The bank will also be hosting a food drive to benefit the Marblehead Food Pantry. Cash donations are always welcome. The items that are most in need are peanut butter, boxed pasta, mac & cheese, canned veggies, rice, cereal, tuna fish, spaghetti sauce, canned chicken and soup. The event will be held rain or shine.
Run for the Fund
Please join Marblehead Dollars for Scholars on Saturday, Oct. 1, for a community walk/run around Marblehead Neck! Registration will open at 7:30 a.m. with the event start at 9 a.m. The first 100 registrants receive an event T-shirt. Awards to the top three male/female overall. Come support need-based scholarships for local students. This race is part of the 2023 Marblehead Race Series.
Fall Fest
Join Clifton Lutheran Church for their Fall Fest on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 150 Humphrey Street from 1 to 4 p.m. Buy a pumpkin from an enormous assortment! Choose your special pumpkin from about 2,000 pumpkins and specialty gourds of all colors – orange, pink, white, green and blue! Then enjoy the Fall Fest with family-friendly lawn games, along with cider donuts, hot apple cider, Mr. Sausage Food Truck and Cool Cow Ice Cream Truck. Buy a raffle ticket and take a chance on 8 baskets worth about $100 each! All proceeds from our Fall Fest benefit the people of Haiti through Mission of Hope, International.
