Another fundraiser is being held to help save the historic house of Revolutionary War hero and Marblehead native Gen. John Glover.
A demolition request had been approved for the Glover House by the Towns of Marblehead and Swampscott, as the house sits on the border of the two communities. However, residents of the communities are rallying to try and save the house as multiple fundraisers have been held at restaurants across both towns.
Now, the Landing is chipping in to help do its part by holding a fundraiser on Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 6 to 9 p.m.
“Join Glover’s Marblehead Regiment to honor this great American patriot and save his home for future generations by eating at the Landing and mentioning the flyer,” a flyer for the event reads.
By mentioning the flyer, 15% of each bill will go toward preserving the home.
