Marblehead Little Theatre (MLT) is pleased to present the musical, “Little Women, the Broadway Musical” from Feb. 21 – March 2. In partnership with Abbot Public Library, MLT is holding a free read-aloud event of selections of the novel in the Scully Salon at the library on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. This event will feature a warm and glowing fire, cast members, light refreshments, and various novel readers, including several community leaders. We hope to see you at this cozy, festive event!
Louisa May Alcott’s novel “Little Women” was written at her home in Concord, MA and first published in two volumes in 1868 and 1869. This year we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the stage production of “Little Women, the Broadway Musical,” a book by Allan Knee with lyrics by Mindi Dickstein and music by Jason Howland.
