The Abbot Public Library is hosting a a Blind Date with a Book event on Feb. 15.

Abbot Library hoping to play matchmaker

January 25, 2023 by Charlie McKenna

The Abbot Public Library is getting in the Valentine’s Day spirit next month, with an event set for Feb. 15 that seeks to pair readers and books.

Between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Feb. 15, residents can stop by the library to go on a blind date with a book. Library books of various genres will be wrapped with a short description to help readers get acquainted with them and see if one piques their interest.

Readers can take their date straight home, or stick around for a craft. Light refreshments will also be served.

This program is sponsored by the Marblehead Council on Aging and the Friends of Abbot Public Library.

For additional information, please visit www.abbotlibrary.org, email mar@noblenet.org, or call 781-631-
1481.
