A talk on intellectual freedom and book bans in libraries will take place at Abbot Public Library on Monday Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m.
During Banned Books Week, the library will hold the talk, during which librarian Wesley Sueker will discuss current and future legislation with respect to book bans and what activists around the country are doing.
The talk will feature a presentation, followed by a Q&A segment, concluding with banned-books recommendations for attendees.
The event is being held in collaboration with the League of Women Voters.
Registration for attending the event is required, and there is a maximum attendance of 50 people.
