Abbot Public Library will host an Open House of its interim space on Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Eveleth School on 3 Brook Road.
The library made a move officially on Oct. 17 after months of planning. It will call the school home until the spring of 2024 while renovations take place at the library’s central location. Library Director Kimberly Grad previously told Marblehead Weekly News that the transition went smoothly.
“It’s been tremendous, a lot of work, a lot of planning, a lot of logistics, and a lot of troubleshooting,” Grad said. “We fit everything in that we needed to fit and then some.”
The Open House event will allow attendees to explore the interim space’s collections. As visitors enter the space, they can walk down a set of stairs to search for books by genre. At the entrance, library-goers will notice a children’s room to their right and a reception desk to their left.
Those interested in learning more about the library or who have questions about the event may visit abbotlibrary.org and contact staff at 781-631-1481.
