You know what I’ve been thinking? Marblehead’s Tyrone Countrymon is a tough matchup for anyone. The Magicians defeated a strong Bedford team on Sunday as Countrymon dropped 26 points. Without his efforts, Marblehead may have not held on to its narrow 79-73 victory in the Larry McIntire IAABO Board 130 Classic in its home gym. Rewind a few nights earlier when the Magicians took on Swampscott. On top of his defense and rebounding, the ever-so-efficient Countrymon scored another 13 points to help lift the Magicians to an 83-64 victory in enemy territory. Looking at the last few days as a whole, 39 points in two (winning) games is enough to grab anyone’s attention. Tyrone, good week.
