Marblehead High School Athletic Director Greg Ceglarski has announced he is leaving the district.
“My last day with the district is June 30, and I will be moving on to a new job,” he said.
Ceglarski, who hails from Swampscott and has been athletic director since 2017, added he “enjoyed working with the Marblehead community, especially the coaches and student-athletes.”
“I also enjoyed getting to know the local media and writers,” he said. “It was always a pleasure communicating back and forth about how our programs are doing each season.
Most recently, Marblehead’s boys ice hockey team – helmed by second-year coach Mark Marfione – captured the MIAA Division 2 state championship. The athletics program also sported a strong 2022-2023 with eight individual state champions, a Division 2 girls swim championship, and a girls track relay championship.
