The Marblehead League of Women Voters will be hosting its annual Candidates’ Night on Tuesday, May 21 at the Marblehead High School’s library, beginning at 7 p.m. The event will feature candidates from the three contested races in this year’s town election in June: the Housing Authority, the Recreation and Park Commission, and the Select Board.
The league is encouraging members of the public to submit questions for each of the candidates in the races to shari.pressman@gmail.com. The deadline to submit questions is Sunday, May 19. Those who submit questions are asked to put Candidates’ Night Questions in the subject line of the email.
Questions can also be submitted on cards in person at the event by the public, and questions will be sorted by the league before being presented by moderator and League of Women Voters of Massachusetts Co-President Elizabeth Foster-Nolan, Esq.
“Candidates’ Night is an important forum where voters can get to know those who seek or hold office,” a statement from the league reads.
A meet and greet with the candidates will take place prior to the forum at 6:30 p.m.
