The Marblehead Chamber of Commerce has announced their scholarship for 2023 and is inviting graduating seniors to apply.
The scholarship, a one-time award of $1,250, will be given to two qualified Marblehead High School seniors who plan on attending a two- or four-year college, and is open (but not limited to) students pursuing a career in business or commerce. Applicants will be chosen based on both merit and financial need.
Students’ GPA, a personal statement/essay, and any appropriate letters of recommendation will be considered. In the essay, students should consider the following prompt: “Describe your educational career and life goals, provide insight to your character and include how your degree/major will help you achieve your goals.” Word count should total between 250 and 500 words.
Students can apply with the MHS General Scholarship Application Form along with their transcript, cover letter, essay, and any supporting documents.
The deadline to apply is April 6. Applications should be submitted via email to Ms. Katherine Koch at katherine@maarbleheadchamber.org.
In the subject line, students are asked to put “Marblehead Chamber of Commerce Scholarship.”
