The Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead has “chocolatized” its annual Red Bow Fair. Visitors can warm up right at the door with complimentary cups of creamy hot chocolate.
At 1 p.m., children will settle in for a holiday story with Mrs. Claus, who must then rush back to supervise the elves. Storyteller Tony Toledo will step in next with the beloved tale of “The Polar Express,” followed by T MAX with some music.
Fairgoers can choose among scrumptious chocolate goodies — from “take away” homemade pies, cakes, candies, cookies to luscious Kirsh enhanced Black Forest cake.
There’ll be gift items, cookbooks, games, and holiday must-haves too: • “Taste ‘n Talk” A time for chocolate lovers to chat about all things chocolate.
- Our Famous Holiday Baskets: theme-focused, and packed with gifts, wines, even pet accessories.
- Red Bow wreaths and handcrafted floral arrangements.
- Books with yummy, lesser known chocolate recipes.
- The Red Bow Cafe serving lunch 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will include homemade vegetable soup, curried egg salad, tarragon chicken salad sandwiches, all-beef hot dogs, and for dessert: Kinder chocolate cup, chocolate pot de crème, or classic chocolate fondue.
- Hand-painted tree ornaments: you choose the decorations: trees, snowflakes, names and endless choices.
- A raffle for 25 pounds of lobster, a chocolate gingerbread House kit, and a dollhouse.
- Fun ‘n Games: face painting, corn tossing, Velcro dart-throwing with chocolate prizes for the winners!
Come Savor the season — and all things chocolate — Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chocolate Red Bow Fair, UU Church of Marblehead, 28 Mugford St.
