The Magicians (10-1) earned their 10th win of the season at King Rail Golf Club. All eight Magicians won their matches in a 66-6 victory against Saugus.
Charlie Grenier shot an even par (34) while Marty Ryan shot a 35. Matt Mahan and Toby Grenier each won their respective matches, 9-0.

In set scores of 17-25, 25-19, 25-21, and 25-16, the Tanners (12-1) rattled off three consecutive sets to take care of Marblehead, 3-1.
In not-so-surprising news, Abby Bettencourt (26 kills, 30 assists) and her sister, Lizzy (21 kills), led the way for Peabody. Captain Kayla Landry (4 kills, 3 blocks), Carly Chouinard (13 service points), and Addison Merrill (4 kills) also played strong matches.
For Marblehead, Lila Moniz had 14 kills while both Maddie Cole and Mari Modryznska each added another eight. Eva Burke had 20 kills, while Alyssa Gentile and Megan Parkman each went home with 14 digs.

Haverhill had Marblehead’s number, beating the Magicians in straight sets of 15-25, 18-25, and 6-25.
Magicians’ coach Killeen Miller called Haverhill a “strong team.”
Burke and Reese Friedman combined for 12 assists. Moniz had six kills, and Cole contributed with five more.

It was a clean sweep (25-23, 25-17, 25-13) for the Magicians to earn them their sixth win of the season. Parkman had 11 digs while Gentile added six.
On the offensive end, Moniz and Cole each had eight kills.

Beverly (3-7-1) had five different players on the scoresheet, and Marblehead (3-6) couldn’t break through its defense. Magicians’ star goalie Maggie Beauchesne registered 22 saves in defeat.

The undefeated Eagles picked up their fifth win of the season in a dominating display. Talk about defense, the Eagles forced a turnover (2 fumbles, 2 interceptions) on Shrewsbury’s first four drives.
Jimmy Nardone opened the scoring for St. John’s Prep with a 38-yard run. After the score, Prep went right back to Nardone for the two-point conversion to give the Eagles an early 8-0 lead.
Merrick Barlow had himself a strong game with several big-time catches, including a 64-yard touchdown reception later in the game.
