He’s been around the hallways of Marblehead High School for a long time, and now, he gets to command the athletics ship.
Kent Wheeler has been named the school’s athletic director, beginning this past Monday and replacing former AD Greg Ceglarski.
A social studies teacher at the school, Wheeler has also been an assistant football and baseball coach for nine years. He’s chairman of American Legion Baseball Mass District 8, founder and program director of Mariners Baseball (MSLB Inc.), and secretary of the board of directors at Floyd Bell Inc.
Wheeler now directs an athletics program that has seen its fair share of success the past three seasons. From a state championship in boys ice hockey, to a Final 4 trip from the softball team, to track and field success within the Northeastern Conference, and so forth, you could say things are looking strong for Wheeler and the Magicians.
