Abbot Public Library is excited to announce our calendar of events for January 2026 with a diverse range of programs, from lectures on healthy aging and decluttering to maritime history, James Bond science, and conversations with authors such as Heather B. Moore and Tonya Walker. Dive deep into environmental science with a presentation on local Seagrass Restoration efforts, or tap into your creative side at the Writers & Readers Open Mic and DIY Simmer Pots workshop.
Looking ahead to February, please join us on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m., for Winter Fest at the Library, hosted by the Abbot Public Library Foundation. We will be showcasing library programs and services, including a Big Playdate for children under 5, a children’s book swap sponsored by the Friends of Abbot Public Library, STEAM programs for children and teens in the Thompson Makerspace, and puzzles, games, and hot beverages near the fireplace in the Scully Salon. Representatives from the Library Board of Trustees, the Abbot Public Library Foundation, and the Friends of Abbot Public Library will also be available.
