Little Harbor Studios and Gallery is excited to have professional artist Samuel Gareginyan host classes this spring.
Gareginyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia, and graduated from Terlemezian Fine Art College and Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts. He has exhibited his work in Armenia, Russia, Lebanon, Spain, England, Turkey, Argentina and the United States.
His paintings are in permanent collections and archives at the Museum of Modern Art in Armenia, the Fund of Artists Union of Armenia, the Armenian Library and Museum of America, and the Museum of Fine Art, Boston. His work is showcased online at samuelg.com.
For over 16 years, Gareginyan taught at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, most recently at Marblehead Arts Association, and now he is leading four-week sessions at Little Harbor Studios. The classes – where students can build on their skills and explore mediums like oil, acrylic and drawing – are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at 18 Doaks Lane. Each four-week session is $200, and the next session begins March 7.
Tom Hubbard has been a student of Gareginyan for about five years now and said Gareginyan is “very informative” and “down to Earth.

“He tries to bring out the natural talent students have and tries to encourage them to be free with their painting,” Hubbard said.
Reach out to Hubbard at biketom53@gmail.com to register. There are a handful of seats still available, and Hubbard was quick to say they may be able to accommodate more students if there is interest.
