Marblehead Little Theatre (MLT) and the Beacon Restaurant and Bar have combined their specialties to create an enhanced experience for Marbleheaders. The two businesses aim to stimulate customers’ senses with artistic performance and culinary delight.
According to a press release, these two businesses work together by incentivizing the patrons of each to try the other.
“Ticket holders can enjoy 10% off food at the Beacon between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. the evening of the show when they present their ticket upon arrival. Discounts are applied per person per ticket and cannot be used towards alcohol,” the release explained. “On Sunday matinee days, the discount can be applied between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Patrons are welcome to park in the lot behind the Beacon for MLT shows, free of charge, whether or not they choose to dine at the Beacon. Finally, theatergoers can enjoy after-show cocktails at the Beacon and try an MLT-themed cocktail.”
The combination is an example of their efforts to create more innovative engagement opportunities in town. MLT and the Beacon want to emphasize the importance of having creative arts and local dining in the community.
Founded in 1956, the theatre is one of the oldest continually operating community theaters in New England. The Beacon is “one of Boston’s best-kept secrets on the North Shore” with its menu of meals from both land and sea.
The “Dinner and a Show” promotion kicks off Friday, June 23 when MLT premiers its rendition of “The Great Gatsby.”
