SALEM — Majors Golf is excited to announce its official grand opening Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. each day on 19 Paradise Road in Salem. The weekend celebration is open to the public and designed to introduce the community to the facility’s year-round golf offerings.
Majors Golf was founded by Chris and Kate Walters, of Marblehead, to create a welcoming, technology-driven space where golfers of all levels can practice, play, and improve — regardless of weather or season. Chris Walters’ vision sprang from his own experience trying to maintain his game during long New England winters, leading him to open a place that keeps golfers connected to the sport all year long.
“Our mission is simple: to make golf more accessible and enjoyable for everyone,” he said. “This weekend is about opening our doors to the local golf community and sharing what makes this space special. We will also be giving back to the community by donating 50 percent of the weekend tournament proceeds to local youth sports associations.”
Guests are invited to drop in and try out Majors Golf’s simulator bays, explore the facility’s pro shop, and learn more about memberships, lessons, clinics, and upcoming events. To enhance the celebration, Eden Provisions will be serving food from noon to 3 p.m. Beer, wine, and hard cider will be available throughout the event from Far From the Tree.
Majors Golf combines cutting-edge technology with a boutique retail experience and year-round practice opportunities, welcoming everyone from junior golfers and weekend enthusiasts to competitive players and coaches.
