The Marblehead Arts Association and Gene Arnould are proud to announce that Jazz at the Arts, a concert series at the MAA, is back! The first concert of this series will be on Thursday, March 14 featuring Yoron Israel and High Standards. Immerse yourself in the smooth melodies and electrifying rhythms of live jazz music while basking in the ambiance of the historic third-floor ballroom at the King Hooper Mansion.

Yoron Israel and High Standards, a quintet based in Boston, led by an internationally acclaimed drummer, percussionist, composer, music director, and educator Yoron Israel. Israel is one of the most sought-out musicians of his generation.

Boston-based ensemble is committed to forging ahead new standards in jazz performance, composition, and arrangements for the 21st century. Adding a very personalized perspective to familiar musical references, as is the case with their latest recording, “Visions: Music of Stevie Wonder.”
For this performance at the Marblehead Arts Association, Yoron Israel and High Standards will be joined by guest vocalist Leah Hinton.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person. There will be a cash bar and a 15-minute intermission.
