The annual Marblehead Carnival will begin at Deveraux Beach at 6 p.m. this Thursday, May 4.
“The purpose of the carnival is to have a community activity for families and, as a side benefit, to raise money for student activities at the high school,” said Marblehead High School junior class Advisor David Zalanowski.
With over 40 years of partnership with Cushing Entertainment, Marblehead High School Student Council will be putting on the carnival, which will continue all weekend long to help provide funds for junior and senior class activities including the class yearbook, junior and senior proms, senior gift, and future class reunions.
“It’s not solely a school thing. It’s very much a community activity and people from outside Marblehead come to enjoy the rides,” said Zalanowski.
People attending the carnival should expect family-friendly rides and games as well as sweet and savory foods.
The carnival will take place on Thursday, May 4, and Friday, May 5, from 6-10 p.m., Saturday, May 6, from 1-10 p.m., and Sunday, May 7, from 1-6 p.m. at Deveraux Beach on 105 Ocean Ave. in Marblehead.
