The Marblehead Cultural Council (MCC), one of 351 local organizations that are funded directly by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, is now accepting grant applications for the 2025 calendar year.
In the past, the MCC has funded everything from live performances to field trips. Each year, with the goal of benefiting residents of the town, the council grants thousands of dollars to individuals and nonprofits that support cultural, artistic, scientific, and historical activities, the MCC said in a statement.
“We hope to see this process result in many meaningful and inspirational projects in and around our beautiful town,” MCC Chair Jennifer Uhl said. “We encourage residents to attend upcoming events supported by the council, including the Global Music Discovery Series at Me&Thee on Oct. 18, sixth annual Indigenous Peoples Day on Oct. 14, and the Forgotten Poor on Sept. 21.”
The deadline to apply is Oct. 16. Anyone who is interested may submit their application online and learn more at massculturalcouncil.org/communities/local-cultural-program/applicationprocess/.
The MCC added in the statement that it will continue to place an emphasis on new, emerging, and established artists and programs in local venues, as well as racially and culturally diverse programming.
