Marblehead Magician duck set to hit the shelves

January 22, 2025 by Grace Calandrella

Marblehead is getting its own unique collectible with the launch of a new Marblehead-themed rubber duck from Wicked Ducks.

Wicked Ducks, a store known for its extensive collection of themed rubber ducks, has designed this new addition to reflect Marblehead’s identity. The Marblehead Magician Duck was a true family effort, involving sketching, 3D digital design, clay mold approvals, and collaboration with a production manager in the United Kingdom.

The overall process took six months to complete, making its arrival even more exciting.

“If everything goes according to plan, they’ll be on sale when we open on Saturday,” Wicked Ducks owner Mandy Lobraico.

The launch has been highly anticipated, and the duck is expected to become very popular among both residents and visitors. Wicked Ducks has built a reputation for offering creative and regionally inspired rubber ducks that appeal to both collectors and tourists.

The introduction of the Marblehead Magician Duck aligns with the store’s mission to celebrate local culture through fun and unique products.

“Creating the Magician as a family has been nothing short of magical,” said Lobraico, “And it will be a source of community and school pride.”

In addition to the Marblehead Magician, Wicked Ducks has already started designing a New England collection, including a lobster duck that perfectly captures the spirit of the region.

“But doesn’t Marblehead also need a lobster duck?” Asked Lobraico, “Of course it does, and we have already started designing our New England collection.”

With plenty of Magicians ordered and future designs in the works, the store continues to expand its offerings while celebrating Marblehead.

Those interested in grabbing one of these special edition ducks can visit the shop to see it firsthand or follow Wicked Ducks on social media for updates on its release. With its charming design and ties to Marblehead’s heritage, this new duck is set to become a beloved keepsake, adding a splash of local pride to any collection.
